Who’s Who! Have you ever played “Who’s who?” with a group of “Who’s” who know all of the “Who’s”? Well, that is precisely what happened this year at the Annual Retiree’s Conference held at Gray Center on May 29th and 30th.

Who’s Who!

Have you ever played “Who’s who?” with a group of “Who’s” who know all of the “Who’s”?  Well, that is precisely what happened this year at the Annual Retiree’s Conference held at Gray Center on May 29th and 30th.  Yes, there was the serious side of discussing issues concerning the Church Pension Group, medical insurance, and the House of Bishop’s meeting held at Camp Allen in Texas this past spring.  But the enthusiasm burst to a new level when the participating clergy and spouses were handed activity booklets with photos of “mystery” clergy taken 30, 40, and possibly 50 years ago.  The 12 page booklet contained 42 seasoned photos of clergy who have served in the Diocese of Mississippi.  Participants, along with Bishop Gray III, were challenged to identify all 59 clergy pictured throughout the 42 photos.  Not only was it great fun, but several clergy mentioned that looking back through these photos, and remembering experiences of sharing and serving with these fellow clergy, was a reconciling and joyful experience.  The conference concluded with a jubilant celebration of Pat Sander’s 86th  birthday!
