Sandi Dulaney has received the 2008-2009 Long Beach School District Parent of the Year Award from Carolyn Hamilton, Superintendent of the Long Beach School District. Sandi serves as Secretary for the Reeves Elementary School PTO and the Long Beach Gifted Association in addition to being a room mother for all three school-aged children.
Working with the Long Beach Drug Task Force, she co-chaired their main fundraiser, the Long Beach Jingle Bells 5K run in December 2008. They raised over 10 thousand dollars to go towards the after-prom party (an event to keep teens in a safe, drug/alcohol free, environment on prom night).
Sandi also volunteers as a parent representative for Long Beach Federal Programs and is a member of PAC, a parent organization that brings concerns/suggestions to the Superintendent.
Congratulations to Sandi on her involvement in the schools and activities of her community which affect the lives of many Long Beach children and teens.
