St. Monica Guild of Trinity/Pass Christian announces its 90th Annual Silver
Valentine Tea. The tea will be held on Friday, February 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. at 513 East Scenic Drive in Pass Christian, the home of Jody and Rick Martin.
Their residence overlooks the scenic Gulf of Mexico and occupies the original 1889 building site, which has withstood many storms and the test of time.
The stately two-story frame chalet-type bungalow features pergola detailing that extends into a port cochere on the west side of the home. Recently, this residence has undergone a renovation under the guidance of the Martins and their contractor maintaining details of the original home’s architect with a doubled-tied inset gallery facing the gulf. The home is a must see for locals and tourist alike. 
The Silver Tea is an annual fundraiser given to support many ministries of St. Monica’s Guild at Trinity/Pass Christian. All monies collected will be given to charities: The Boys and Girls Club, Christian Concern Ministries, the Pass Christian Food Bank, Gone Fishing Ministries, Mercy Flight Southeast (which provides free air transportation to sick families needing medical treatment from out of state hospitals and facilities), Wilmer Hall Children’s Home, and missionary work in Chile.
There is no charge to attend the tea, however, donations are requested and greatly appreciated. Entrance to the tea is available on East Scenic Beach Boulevard in front of the residence where parking signs will also be posted. Courtesy shuttle carts will be available to transport visitors to the residence from parking areas. Donation bowls will be placed in the foyer as well as the sign in book at the entrance.
Refreshments include sweet and savory homemade treats, coffee and tea, as well as wine. The public is invited to attend. In an effort to protect the floors, please do not wear spike heels. For more information, call 228-452-4563 or 228-547-8636.
