Uganda Visit (update 1)

by The Rev. Dr. William Ndishabandi

Greetings from Kampala Uganda. Bishop Gray and I arrived safely in the country. We were welcomed at the airport with VIP's, including journalists, customs officers, immigration officers, and many others.

We were treated in the VIP lounge and the Bishop was interviewed, thereafter we were lead to Namirembe Guest House in Kampala about 20 miles from Entebbe International Airport.  Dinner was served, further conversation proceeded, and later we went to our rooms.

Yesterday, July 9, was one of the best. we toured the capital, the suburbs, and went as far as Jinja, seventy miles from Kampala to see the source of the Nile. The Bishop visited the shrine of the Uganda Martyrs of both Catholics and Anglicans.

Today, July 10, we are set for Mbarara where Naomi and William will host five Bishops and forty other invited guests for dinner in our home.  Thereafter we will proceed to Kases where the Bishop will preside over in a big ceremony of laying of the foundation stone to the future hospital of Bishop Masereka Christian Foundation.

We are doing well, things are going, no jet lag, no time change, no sleepless nights.  We will keep you posted as our journey progresses.  Convey our greetings to all our people.
